South Korea's Tallest
Completed in 2017 and designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox, the Lotte World Tower rises 555 meters over the Han River in Seoul — the fifth-tallest building in the world. Its tapering, gently curving silhouette is inspired by traditional Korean ceramics and calligraphy.
A Vertical City
Its 123 floors hold retail, offices, residences, a 7-star hotel, and the world's highest glass-floored observation deck (Seoul Sky) at 478 m, with a sky deck that tilts outward.
Engineered for the Site
The tower sits over a subway interchange and was engineered for Korea's seismic and typhoon conditions, with tuned mass dampers and a robust core. It reframed the Jamsil skyline into a single soaring landmark.
